How to Write an Application
Go to this page on borger.dk and select your municipality. Next, click “Continue” and log in with MitID. Now you just need to complete the application form, which begins with your information.
There are different application forms, but here you can read more about some of the most common topics:
Here, you should describe the limitations you experience in daily life. It is important to focus on challenges you face privately, not those at work or school, as you would need to apply elsewhere for those.
For example:
I am dyslexic, and therefore have challenges with reading e-boks, borger.dk, and writing messages to public authorities.
Here, describe your disability. For example:
I am dyslexic.
If you are dyslexic, you should answer “yes” to whether your disability is permanent, as dyslexia is not curable. Next, you can attach a dyslexia test that shows you are dyslexic.
You can find your dyslexia test on ordblindetest.dk. Find the test under “Results” and select “Print.” Under “Destination,” you can save or “print” it as a PDF to attach to the application.
Here, describe that you would like to receive Cliarly. For example, you could write:
I am applying to receive the assistive tool Cliarly, which can help with reading text aloud and writing. I have had a trial period of Cliarly, and it helps me function in daily life. It can be found on the assistive device base here: https://hmi-basen.dk/r11x.asp?linkinfo=75689
Depending on your disability, you may not need to complete this section.
If you are dyslexic, you could write:
Name:
ordblindetest.dk - Ministry of Children and Education
Address:
Frederiksholms Kanal 21 1220 Copenhagen K
You can decide whether to give consent for the municipality to obtain additional information. We recommend answering “yes.”
Cliarly does not need your social security number, so you can answer “no” to the final point.
Confirm your information and sign the application.
We typically hear back from the municipality the week after the application is submitted.
